So, studying for upcoming exams start tomorrow. Time to look at the great (or not so great) things I've done in 2009. Bound to be motivating. Right? Right...?

Actually, did give me some good ideas for 2010.

[Mark the things you've done in 2009 bold]

1. Dyed your hair an odd color.

31. Panicked over something stupid.
32. Failed a class.
33. Fell out of love.
34. Played a video game for hours straight.
35. Spent time with your family.

41. Got yelled at for no reason.
42. Waved at people you didn’t know in passing cars.
43. Sat on tumblr all day.
44. Changed your entire look.
45. Had sex.
46. Ran outside naked when it was freezing out.
47. Made your own fire. --> Defo should do in 2010 some more
48. Laughed at something that made no sense. LOTS of times
49. Fell asleep on the phone.
50. Told someone you loved them.

*counts*

13 Good things and 7 bad things. That's not too bad. (Although I'm not sure if karaoke actualy qualifies as good...)

Journal should be more elaborate, probably. But yeah, who cares? Not me.

So I went to the beach, and it had a beautiful sunset. I tried very much not too upload too much photos of it. Dunno if that worked out well. I am, however, getting convinced that the dutch sky is one of the best features of our country. Prove me wrong.

'Cause I found a Route 66 CD and it gives life a whole other flavour. A good one.

Besides that, I was bored and not in the mood to do useful work. Sooo there's a mass upload coming up from Uganda, just so you know. There are some good ones in there. Tried to stay away from cliché African photos, but failed horribly. My apologies in advance.

Just a quick note to tell ye all I'm still here. The art auctioning from my last journal brought in about 1200 euros, which was great. At the present we have more then enough money, so we're able to buy stuff for the project locally, too. Cheers for local economy promotion.

I'm leaving on thursday, taking my camera with me so hopefully I'll bring back some nice images.

Hey people,

Guess where I've been. That's right, nowhere! So far I haven't been doing any photowork due to the fact that I'm spending all of my valuable time on my study. I'm so golly-gosh darn well-behaved.

But that's all about to change. This summer I'll be joining a group of youngsters on a trip to Uganda, where we will be offering our help to a local welder. It's a local project supported by Livingstone, the organisation we travel by. This welder has set up a school for poor children and because of the popularity of his little 'Happy Times' school, he is in need of another classroom. So we're going to help him build one. Next to that, we'll also be teaching the children, playing with them, and talking to their grandparents who generally have to raise them.

And we need money to do so.

So, we're organising a crapload of events, including an Art Auction to raise money. You've already seen a flyer for a benefit danceball come by, which was a modest but good start. With this auction we hope to get a a good 1000 euros, but more is always better! We have a beautfiful collection of photo's to be auctioned, but we would also like to offer the people some paintings and drawings. If you would like to help us out and send your work to be auctioned, please send me a note. It would be very much appreciated.

Until so far.
